Well appointments are 20 minutes. Sick appointments and yearly appointments with pets over age 7 are 40 minutes. Two pet rooms are 40 minutes.
Keep two 20-minute appointments blocked off, one in AM and one in the PM (this should be for one doctor). These are for “day of” CURRENT CLIENT sick pets/emergencies that need to be seen.
We do not declaw cats or dock ears
We also do not do flea dips
Health Certificate exams are 20 minutes for domestic. When scheduling these, make sure to get as much of the travel information as possible. Direct the client to our website to fill out the health certificate form online prior to their appointment. These appointments should only be scheduled with Dr. Erica.
Litters of puppies for tail and dew claw docking - these are put on Dr. Erica's schedule for 40 minutes. We can only do this procedure if the pets are between 3 and 5 days old.
OFA appointments: Dr. Erica does these exams. It is a drop-off with sedation in order to get the radiographs needed. The pet must be at least 2 years old, and females cannot be in their heat cycle. Quote for an exam, small animal sedation, OFA Rads, as well as the OFA fee - currently found here.
There is a $25 pre-payment for all new client appointments, this goes toward the final cost of the appointment.

There is a $75 deposit for clients who book 3 or more pets for one day.
Puppy litters should be in a 40 minute slot. There is no deposit for first puppy litter appointments unless they are a new client, in which the $25 new client deposit should be taken.

If there are two or more exam rooms open, a walk-in can be admitted. Look at the flow chart at the front desk to guide your decision. When in doubt - ask a doctor if they can/want to see the pet.
Call no-shows to reschedule those appointments each day after lunchtime.
Bath appointments must be dropped off by 10:00 AM at the latest.
If the pet needs to be sedated, they need to be here between 8:30AM and 9:30 AM like surgery drop-offs.
We only do sedated shave-downs on Tuesdays when our traveling groomer, Courtney, is able to come in.
Use Ctrl+D to timestamp EVERYTHING, even in exam notes
If you have quoted a client for their visit, add that to the appointment notes
Final appointments of the day should be rechecks or healthy pets. Please do not schedule very sick pets or pets with multiple ailments at the last appointment of the day.
