Confirming Appointments
PetDesk confirms appointments 48 hours in advance
If appointments are not confirmed 24 hours prior to the appointment time, do a courtesy call to the client to remind them and confirm (text is not appropriate - they already likely ignored the PetDesk text)
Please mark appointments as confirmed if they were made same day or 24 hours in advance
There are templates in PetDesk to use for reminders - they are divided into several categories.
Make sure if you are reminding surgeries to check the surgery type (pocket pet vs small animal) because their reminder template is DIFFERENT. Pocket pets do not get food withheld from them prior to surgery and small animals do.
Always look at the reminder being sent to be sure all of the pertinent information has been changed/updated (pet's name, appointment times, etc. )
