Care Credit Processing
If a client elects to pay with Care Credit, that gets processed on the Care Credit website - we cannot swipe those cards in our machine
If they do not have a Care Credit card already, they may apply by going to carecredit.com
ALL transactions will require the primary or secondary account holder's ID. There are no exceptions to this, and the site will ask you for proof (usually exp of license)
Card is Present, but Cannot be Swiped
1. Check one one form of Primary ID from the approved list.
2. Verify name on ID matches the name shown on the card.
3. Capture ID information on the bottom of the receipt.
NOTE: ID verification is not required if the card presented is a CareCredit Rewards Mastercard.
Card Not Available/Present
1. Call CareCredit Provider Services at 800-859-9975 and verify name(s) on the account and the available credit. For Power of Attorney questions, please call. Do not process a sale transaction if the person is not listed on the account.
2. Check one form of Primary ID from the approved list.
3. Capture ID information on the bottom of the receipt. The cardholder will sign the sales receipt. Signature on the sales receipt should match signatures on IDs provided.
APPROVED ID LIST
State issued Driver’s License (preferred) • State Issued ID • Passport • Military ID • Foreign Passport (include number and country of issuance) • Government issued Alien identification card (Green Card) (include number and country of issuance) • Government issued Visa travel documents if a picture is present on the Visa
