Sending Out Labwork
Antech picks up each morning around 11, and we also have a courier in the evenings for the outside box.
UPS will pick up Zoetis labs at their normal pick up
Antech: If it is after the morning pickup has come, any labs being sent to Antech should be stored according to doctor instructions (room temp vs fridge vs freezer) until 6 pm. All labs being sent to Antech with our overnight courier should be in the box outside at the side door no later than 6 pm. The box should be facing outward with the Antech label to the parking lot.

Antech: When entering a lab into Avimark that is Antech-specific, a screen will pop up and ask if you would like to create a requisition, you should click "Yes" to generate the requisition and allow the form to print.
Antech: *If this is for a test that is not in Avimark, please alert the Practice Manager to link it for appropriate charging and requisition creation.
Antech: If the client declines the bloodwork after the requisition is in, remove the requisition and decline the diagnostic item.
Zoetis Labs: If there is a UPS delivery, we can send the bag with the driver. The Practice Manager can tell you if they are expecting a delivery that day. If there is no delivery, have reception call for a pick-up with the information at the bottom of the tracking label. If UPS is unable to pick up that day, leave all samples for the next day to avoid a delay in processing and potential damage to the sample

Zoetis: After adding the appropriate charge to Avimark, you must go to that website or to Covetrus Connect on your desktop to print the requisition
Website: right-hand side of the screen, click orders and then "create order". Select the doctor and search for the pet. If you cannot find the pet, add them by clicking the orange + next to the box. Add your tests and submit
Covetrus Connect: Click on the dog and cat toward the right side of the screen to go to the Zoetis dashboard. This should bring you to the Create Requisition page, and if the pet was not added to Avimark the same day, your requisition will be waiting for you. Click Create and check that all of your tests have been added, if not, you can do that by clicking "Add Test" and searching for what didn't load. After your tests are appropriately added, select "Create" and you'll be able to print off our requisition for the labwork.
BLOODWORK STORAGE
Antech is stored in the top shelf of the refrigerator door until picked up or put out in the box.
Zoetis is stored in a UPS bag (found in a brown crate near the glucometer) on the bottom shelf of the fridge. Be sure to add an ice pack to the bag before sealing for UPS to take, or bringing to the UPS store.
