Radiology Consults

We send out our radiology consults to Vets Choice Radiology.

• From the accession display on 20/20, left click on the pet's completed x-ray study, right click "SEND"

• A screen will pop up, choose Vets Choice Radiology and Submit

• From the web on a different computer, go to THIS PAGE 

• Login should be saved, if not, it's mcdonoughah for username and password. 

• On the left, select CASE LIST and select the top option, REQUIRE ACTION. The study may take up to 15 minutes to be loaded onto the website so be patient.

• Find your study and click on the pet's name. You'll be directed to a portal page with all of the information loaded that was present on the radiograph report. You will need to fill in the missing information, including referring physician, marked with a red asterisk *

• Once you've filled in the pet's details, you can scroll down and copy/paste the notes from the doctor about the case. Anything that is pertinent to why we are submitting the x-rays, or why x-rays were indicated in the first place. The second box is for you to place comments about the pet or from the DVM regarding what questions they have about the study. 

• You can also upload files, so if bloodwork was done and may have a role in the potential diagnosis, go ahead and attach that. if the pet had an ultrasound for the same issue, attach that too. 

• Priority Level should be selected for a 24 hour routine turnaround time most often - but the doctor will let you know if something is urgent and needs to be a 1 hour stat.

• Finally, confirm the images that have been received are correct - if you submitted a study with 4 images and it's only reading 2, for instance, click no and hit the green button with arrows to fix. When it's corrected, click YES and the green Submit button at the bottom. 

• Your case will move to In Progress and we will be notified of the final results.
