Care Calls
Each day, reception is tasked with checking on pets that were seen the day before (for Monday, this means checking on Friday's appointments.) These follow-ups will be listed as exams or surgeries - take note of the date (origin should be yesterday's date)
Make sure the pet is not here in the building - this can happen if they get a yearly or surgery while they are boarding. We don't need to send a text asking how a pet is doing if they are in our care.
Texts are automatically sent out for all appointments via Weave at 9am. All appointments must be appropriately marked as a type in order for Weave to send auto messages. Physical, Sick, Annual, Puppy, Kitten, etc.
Call the surgery patients mid-morning to make sure they have time to rearrange their schedule in order to bring the pet in if they need to. Make sure they have been offered food and water, inquire about eating and see if the pet has had any medications since discharge. Make sure there are no questions on how to administer medications and they have no concerns.
