Pet Cremains Abandonment

There may be times when a pet, or their paw print, has been sitting on our shelf for 6+ months.

• Call the client - record in a CC on the deceased pet's account that another attempt has been made to have the pet picked up. 

• If the client has been contacted multiple times and the pet is still here, DPC will dispose of them in a dignified manner.

• If the client has not responded to the final call after 2 business days have elapsed, go to Paws-E-Track

• Print off "Remains Release Form" under the Resources tab

• Fill out and attach to the bag/box

• Make a copy once signed by a DPC employee - this is done at pick up or drop off on Monday or Thursday

• Attach to the deceased pet's file and update CC that pet has been returned to DCP
