Trupanion - Submitting A Claim
On Trupanion Express, scroll to the appropriate pet and select "Start Claim." You may also use the navigation on the left to select Start Claim, and type the pets information in manually.
If using an estimated cost, hit "pre-approval"
Fill out the information and answer all questions, verify the invoice for the claim is correct with the TX team
Put in your name and hit submit
A decision should arrive quickly - if the situation is emergent, you may wish to call the number on the left-hand side of the TruPanion Express screen and speak with a representative so you can get an answer even faster
To process in Avimark, do a split payment. Pay with Trupanion for the amount they're covering, and the rest in whichever payment form the client will be using.
Finally, you'll need to upload the final invoice to the pet's claim so TruPanion can close it and payout.
To do this, you start a new claim, find the pet, and select the open claim (it will often auto populate the most recent transaction).
You will select Yes when it asks if you've filed for the condition before, and type in the claim number received at Pre Approval.
Verify the invoice used. Again, it will populate the most recent one. Type your name and hit Submit.
